Grameen Shikkha implementing TESCO Higher Education Scholarship Programme
Tesco International Sourcing Ltd., one of the largest sourcing companies of the world, is sponsoring a scholarship program called "TESCO Higher Education Scholarship Programme for the Children of Workers in Bangladesh" in collaboration with Grameen Shikkha (implementing partner) for children of workers of Tesco supplier factories in Bangladesh. Number of beneficiaries of the program in the scholarship year July 2022-June 2023 were 150 children of workers of Tesco’s various supplier factories in Bangladesh. Scholars, coming from different districts of Bangladesh, range from high school to university level. Total project cost is BDT 39.05 lacs during the project period July 2022-June 2023. Project was duly is approved by the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh Goverment.
