GrameenShikkha-GSRD Pre-school Project
The GrameenShikkha-GSRD Pre-school Projectaims at providing pre-primary education to 600 five years old poor children every year and prepare these children for grade-1 in primary school next year. The project is funded by the GSRD Foundation, Netherlands for a period of four years. There are 20 pre-schools in 20 villages in five Unions (Charigram, Shayesta, Jamirta, Joymontop and Chandhor) of Singair Upazilla of Manikganj district. Every pre-school has in average 30 children and each school has a trained female teacher. Students will learn the Bangla Alphabets as well as elementary numbers and will also receive some lessons related to health by end of the year. The project,which is approved by the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh Government, has a budget of BDT 18.54 lacs for the year 2023.
